Not all data can be accessed directly. In many cases, you may need to interact with the target web page in one way or anther in order to access the data you need, such as login, search with keywords, or even click through a drop-down menu. The good news is that it's still possible to take advantage of the auto-detect feature by adding the extra steps manually prior to running the auto-detect process.
So go ahead and create a new task by entering the web page URL into the search bar.
Once the web page is loaded in the built-in browser, the auto-detect process will start but you want to cancel it for now.
Refer to the tutorials below and add the steps needed to access your data manually.
- Extract data behind a login
- How to click through options in a drop-down menu?
- How to extract the selected option from drop-down menus?
- Text/keyword input
Once you've arrived on the web page containing the data you'd like capture, select "Auto-detect web page data" on "Tips". Go on building the task like any other tasks.
