Scraping information about image content posted on social media
Hi,
I'm currently working on a research proposal at the moment that would involve analyses of social media data. One of the social media data sources that we hope to collect data from would be images publicly posted on Facebook and Instagram. We would like to search these social media platforms for particular objects/activities contained within images posted publicly by users.
We would hope to produce a dataset with information on the number of times that pre-specified objects/activities were found in images posted on these platforms, let’s say on posts that were put up by users within the past year (from Jan 2020-present). We would then use this aggregated and de-identified data for our analysis. Do you think that this would be feasible using the Octoparse products on offer?
Many thanks!
