I find that there is not enough documentation on the features and settings for advanced mode programming. As I look through the online documentation, I find many, many case examples for specific websites, but these are not really useful for me. When I try to apply the examples to my own desired websites, they fail.
It seems that Octoparse is very sensitive to the structure of the website, and the way it is written and served. What we really need, is a guide on how to identify the structure of a website, so that we can then know what the best Octoparse program structure and settings should be. I have tried to scrape two different websites so far, and even though they appear to be similar to examples, they apparently are not, and the auto-detect or Tips features do not identify content as shown in the examples.
